Geoff Allardice has stepped down as chief executive as the International Cricket Council continues its overhaul amid the ascension of powerful administrator Jay Shah.

He took over in 2020 after his predecessor, Manu Sawhney, was suspended, and was appointed full time in November 2021

The Australian boss of the International Cricket Council, Geoff Allardice, is stepping down from his role with the sport’s the governing body to “pursue new challenges”.

The 57-year-old joined the ICC in 2012 as General Manager of Cricket, coming from Cricket Australia, where he served as Cricket Operations Manager.

Geoff Allardice first came in as temporary ICC chief executive in March 2020, following the suspension of Manu Sawhney.
