Google says its artificial intelligence chatbot Gemini will now deliver up-to-date news from The Associated Press in the tech giant’s first such deal with a news publisher.

Google is partnering with The Associated Press to bring real-time information from the news agency to its Gemini app, the search giant announced on Wednesday. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Google announced in a blog post that it is expanding its partnership with the news outlet to provide a “feed of real-time information” to the Gemini app. Going forward, Gemini will be able to reference AP’s stories when you ask about current events. “This will be particularly helpful to [Gemini app] users looking for up-to-date information.”
