NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore recently said that politics has nothing to do with why he and his crewmate, Suni Williams, are still in space.

The two astronauts who launched aboard Boeing Starliners first crewed flight test in June are now preparing for their highly anticipated return to Earth.

Two astronauts who have been stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) since June, 2024 are scheduled to return to Earth next week. Massachusetts native Sunita L. Williams and Butch Wilmore of Tennessee have been stuck on the ISS due to problems with their spacecraft, the Boeing's Starliner.

SpaceX will bring two NASA astronauts back from the International Space Station this month after a damaged spacecraft extended their eight-day journey into a nine-month commision. SpaceX’s CEO Elon Musk said he believes the two astronauts were stuck in space for political reasons and he could have rescued them sooner.

NASA’s Space-X Crew-10 is scheduled to launch from the Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday night to the International Space Station. After they arrive, their Dragon capsule will serve as a ride home for Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams who have had an extended stay in space for nine months.
