After suffering their first loss of the season on Saturday, the West Virginia Mountaineers (14-1) bounced back with an emphatic 14-6 decision for a game three series deciding win against Kennesaw State (6-11) Sunday afternoon.

The Mountaineers still found themselves in position to prolong their unbeaten start to this season when they entered the ninth inning with a two-run lead, but the Owls scored six runs in their final at bat, including a go-ahead grand slam from Donovan Cash to hand West Virginia its first loss, 13-9.

The West Virginia University baseball team just keeps on winning. And winning big, too. WVU (13-0) remains unbeaten after taking down Kennesaw State (5-10), 16-2, Friday afternoon at Kendrick Family Ballpark.

West Virginia opened their first home series of the season on Friday afternoon against Kennesaw State. In front of a solid crowd at Monongalia County Ballpark, the Mountaineers moved to 13-0 with a dominating 16-2 victory over the Owls.
