The San Diego Padres endured a very scary situation last weekend when Luis Arraez collided with Houston Astros second baseman Mauricio Dubon. Arraez was so shook up that he was carted off the field and taken to a local hospital.

Shildt added that Arraez had passed concussion protocol, although there was a scary moment where he “wasn’t aware of where he was” after the collision. After the game, Arraez, freshly released from the hospital, rejoined his teammates in the clubhouse after a 3-2 defeat of the Astros.
