The Trump administration said Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was living in Maryland but entered the country illegally in 2011, was deported to an El Salvador prison due to an administrative error.

A Baltimore-based judge is ordering the Trump administration to facilitate the return of a 20-year-old man from El Salvador.

The government claims he’s a member of the MS-13 gang, which his wife and attorney deny, and deported him to El Salvador despite a judge’s 2019 order barring him from being sent there.
