Prince William is facing a "wake-up call" for his future within the monarchy after attending Pope Francis's funeral in the Vatican City. The Prince of Wales joined more than 100 world leaders - including US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer - to pay their respects to the late pontiff in St Peter's Square.

As reported by GB News, William briefly chatted with Trump and his wife US First Lady Melania Trump on his way into the funeral. It was also reported that the future King spoke to President Macron and Brigitte Marie-Claude Macron before the funeral service was underway.
