While Breaking Bad has been widely praised for its intricate storytelling, some on-the-fly decisions during its production have left narrative gaps that are now evident in its spin-off, Better Call Saul.

Producer Peter Gould has revealed that one executive wasn't thrilled with the episode that gave birth to Saul Goodman.

Saul Goodman exploded onto our television screens back in 2009. But the Breaking Bad character almost didn't get that far, with Bob Odenkirk's at-all-costs lawyer being the subject of a script note that wanted him cut from the AMC series.

Since its debut, Better Call Saul has managed to establish itself as one of the best series of the last decade. This spin-off of Breaking Bad not only captured the essence of its predecessor but also carved its own path to success.
