Georgia’s poultry flocks are no longer infected with highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), otherwise known as the bird flu, state officials announced on Tuesday.

ATLANTA — No new bird flu cases have been detected in Georgia, the state's agriculture commissioner announced on Tuesday. Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper said Georgia hasn't had any additional bird flu or Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) cases since the last two cases out of Elbert County, an hour north of Atlanta.

The Montana Department of Livestock is warning residents of avian influenza, commonly known as bird flu after a Canada goose was found with the disease in Gallatin County.
