Alaska Airlines will soon offer flights from Portland International Airport to Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Here’s what to know.
Alaska Airlines will initiate a route for Portland residents to travel to the fourth-largest city in the nation this year. A new daily, nonstop flight between Portland International Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston will be starting May 15.
The 11-year-old startup Lytics was acquired by Contentstack, an Austin-and-San Francisco-based company that works in digital experiences.
Alaska Airlines is launching a new nonstop flight from Portland to Houston starting May 15, 2025, as well as resuming flights between Portland and Eugene and adding a new route between San Diego and Medford.
Lytics, a Portland company that raised $58 million to develop technology for corporate marketing, said Wednesday it has sold to a Texas business called Contentstack. The companies didn’t disclose terms of their transaction except to say it’s a cash and stock deal.
Alaska Airlines will operate nonstop flights between Portland and Houston daily and twice-daily flights to Eugene.
Portland International Airport (PDX) serves as a hub for Seattle-based Alaska, which operates around 100 daily flights to 58 destinations from the airport. From May 15, the carrier will launch daily Boeing 737 flights between PDX and Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).
"This will be the third nonstop route from Portland to Texas, joining Dallas-Fort Worth ... Eugene and Medford show our continued focus on connecting Oregon with the rest of the country."
