CINCINNATI — The Texans lost to the Chiefs on Saturday in Kansas City. They kept it close for most of the game, but ultimately lost 23-14. Former Bengals running back Joe Mixon wasn't shy about criticizing the officials after the game.

Houston linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee), right guard Shaq Mason (knee), offensive lineman Juice Scruggs (ankle) and wide receiver Robert Woods (hip) also were active. Woods did not practice all week and had been listed as questionable.

It led to three points.

Joe Mixon witnessed how some penalties against the Houston Texans seemed to favor the Kansas City Chiefs, and he decided not to stay quiet, speaking out publicly about the referees.

Joe Mixon is dealing with an ankle injury entering the AFC Divisional Round matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mixon has proven himself as a reliable workhorse in his first season as a Texan, totaling 245 carries, 1,016 yards, and 11 touchdowns. The Pro-Bowl running back has surpassed 100 rushing yards in eight games, including the playoffs, and earned his second Pro Bowl selection in his first year with the team.

The do-it-all running back for Houston was a late addition to the injury report this week, clouding his status for the weekend matchup in Kansas City. The Texans already have dealt with plenty of issues at the receiver spot this season, only adding more to Mixon's plate.
