A patient in transit in a Hillsborough County Fire Rescue ambulance was killed after the driver plowed through an intersection Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
TMFR said the crash occurred about 8 a.m. on I-580 northbound on the Galena Creek Bridge. No first responders were injured.
