There will (probably) be NHL hockey this fall in the Old Capital. According to Bruce Garrioch, tomorrow, the Ottawa Senators are expected to announce that they will play one or two games in Quebec City during the preseason schedule for the upcoming season.

The Devils have the horses to keep up: Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt, and Timo Meier are capable of taking over games on any given night. Those four stars are spread across three lines in Sheldon Keefe’s current variation of the lineup, making the Devils a difficult team to match up against.

The Ottawa Senators will spend part of their training camp and also play two preseason games in Quebec City next season, the team announced Monday.

The New Jersey Devils will travel north in late September to play a 2025-26 preseason game in Quebec City. The Ottawa Senators announced the team would play two preseason games at Videotron Centre on September 28 and 30.

While Quebec City longs for the return of professional hockey, locals will have the opportunity to take in the NHL next fall when the Videotron Centre plays host to a pair of Ottawa Senators‘ exhibition contests.
