It’s too early to be thinking about the playoffs if you ask Jason Kidd, but a two-game home-and-home series against the Denver Nuggets could pose seeding implications down the line when teams are scrambling for postseason positioning.

Now, the group heads to Dallas for a game that could have major implications on the Western Conference standings. The Nuggets are just half a game ahead of the Mavericks, so a win could give them a 1.5-game advantage. They sit at 22-15 on the season.

Russell Westbrook had 21 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists and Nikola Jokic added 19 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists as the Denver Nuggets rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Dallas Mavericks 112-101.

Nikola Jokic had 35 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds, Russell Westbrook added 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, and the host Denver Nuggets beat the Brooklyn Nets 124-105 on Friday.
