It was reported earlier this offseason that the Reds had an interest in free-agent reliever Carlos Estevez. Estevez signed a two-year deal with the Royals on Wednesday. He posted a 3.90 ERA with 31 saves and a plus 27.
The Giants will save $6 million by trading Rogers but aren't expected to spend that money on external additions this offseason.
