Goals from Harvey Elliott and Mohamed Salah helped Liverpool defeat French side Lille on a busy night in the Champions League on Tuesday. Salah opened the scoring for the Reds before Lille were reduced to 10 men with Aïssa Mandi shown a second yellow card after the break.

Liverpool have won 2-1 against Lille in their Champions League match at Anfield. Mohamed Salah scored on the counter-attack in the first half and the hosts were cruising when Lille’s Aissa Mandi was sent off for a second bookable offence.
