Alex Morgan has joined the investor group for the San Diego Wave, the National Women’s Soccer League team she played for before retiring from professional soccer

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Alex Morgan is returning to San Diego Wave FC — this time in a different capacity. The National Women’s Soccer League club announced Tuesday the two-time Women’s World Cup winner is rejoining to the team as a minority investor with an equity stake, guiding the very same team she shaped as a player on the field.
