Stefan Noesen scored a power-play goal in overtime and Jacob Markstrom made 23 saves as the New Jersey Devils defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2.

But the Lightning will gladly take the point they gained from getting the game to overtime. They rallied from a third-period deficit, something they weren’t able to do in their three recent regulation losses in California. They didn’t munch two points, but at least they munched one.

New Jersey Devils forward, Ondrej Palat opened the scoring 8:10 into the first period, following a turnover in the corner by Tampa Bay. A minute later, Lightning captain Victor Hedman tied the game up with a shot through traffic from above the left circle.
