According to Mumbai police, it is suspected that the intruder made a robbery attempt at actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence and in a bid to prevent the thief from fleeing, Khan had a scuffle with him and got attacked with a sharp object, leaving him with six injuries.

Saif Ali Khan was attacked and stabbed six times at his Mumbai residence during the early hours of Thursday. The Bollywood actor is currently undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable.

The police suspect that a domestic help employed at Saif Ali Khan’s residence in Bandra allowed an intruder to enter the house. Khan sustained six stab wounds after being attacked by the man.
