Shedeur Sanders arrived in Cleveland on Tuesday and looks to get a head start before rookie mini camp. The transition for the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback will make headlines after the historic slide in the 2025 NFL Draft.

After being projected as a first-round pick, Shedeur Sanders fell to the fifth round of the NFL Draft, before finally being selected by the Cleveland Browns. Pro Football Hall of Famer Cris Carter recently spoke on the Fully Loaded podcast and said that Shedeur Sanders and Deion Sanders were largely to blame for the slide.

Prognosticators universally viewed Shedeur Sanders as a potential first-round draft pick after his strong career at Colorado. Instead, five quarterbacks were selected before him before the Browns used their fifth-round pick to draft him. Cleveland even passed on him two rounds earlier when it selected Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel in the third.
