The Swedish coastguard has boarded a tanker after launching a sabotage investigation into damage to another telecommunication cable in the Baltic Sea. Footage from Swedish broadcaster SVT published on Monday showed Swedish personnel boarding a Maltese-flagged vessel during the night.

The Nordic country has opened an investigation into the damage, just weeks after NATO stepped up its military presence in the area following a series of similar incidents.
